DESCRIPTION:Join our one day conference “AAC ESSENTIALS: What you need to know”\nTarget audience: SLP’s\, OT’s\, Caregivers\, EA’s\, Teachers and anyone who wants to learn more about using technology to support communication in children. \nConference description:\nParticipants will gain insights into current best practices for augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) principles\, including supporting language learning across environments\, selecting vocabulary\, and fostering high engagement among AAC users. Additionally\, the presentation will cover advanced-level topics\, such as strategies to overcome barriers in AAC assessment and implementation through a coaching model. \n6 hours of professional development will be earned. Certificate will be emailed after the completion of the event. \nSpeaker Bio:\nRachel Madel\, CEO and Founder of Rachel Madel Speech Therapy Inc\, a private practice serving children in Los Angeles since 2014. She is also the co-founder and co-host of the AAC podcast Talking with Tech. Rachel presents both nationally and abroad on how to utilize technology to support children with communication needs. He is an internationally recognized authority on services to children and their families and is a frequent presenter at professional conferences throughout the world. He is the author of six books on children with special needs in addition to the Rossetti Infant-Toddler Language Scale\, currently used worldwide. He is the founding editor of Infant Toddler Intervention: The Trans disciplinary Journal.
